How to start Remastered
Beta applications are open. Test access and launch information will be announced on Discord.
1. The application
The beta sign-up form takes a username (4-16 characters; letters, digits and underscores), an e-mail address and a password. Your password is not stored as plain text — it is converted into the game's own secure hashed format, which is also how it is transferred to the live server at launch. The form hands you an application key: that key, not a password, is how you open your status page, so save it.
2. Discord confirmation
Join our Discord server and send the bot your code (!dogrula CODE). Confirmed applications receive double weight in the draw and a surprise box at launch. One Discord account can confirm one application, and announcements reach you fastest there.
3. Why starting early still pays
The server is reset once at launch so everyone starts equal. Starting early still pays: you walk in already knowing the map, your class and the war calendar, the bugs you report get fixed before launch, and players who verify on Discord receive a 24-hour EXP and drop-rate buff plus extra rewards on launch day.
4. Client and first login
The download link is announced to applicants before launch. The client unpacks into a single folder and the launcher handles updates itself. Language can be switched from inside the game; all eight languages share one server. When login opens, you enter with the username and password from your application.
Approximate system requirements
- Windows 10 or 11 (older versions generally work)
- Roughly 4 GB of RAM
- A graphics card supporting DirectX 9 or newer
- A few GB of free disk space and a stable connection
These figures are approximate. Karos is an older game and runs smoothly on modest hardware.
Where people get stuck
- Not saving the application key. It is the only way into the status page; the site has no password login at all.
- Reserved usernames. Names such as "gm", "admin" or "support", and anything beginning with them, are rejected.
- Passwords over 128 characters. The client sends the first 128, so the form refuses longer ones to stop your account locking itself out in game.
- Leaving Discord confirmation to the last day. The queue is long on launch day; do it now.
Your first hour
Choose a class — the archetypes are compared on Classes — finish the starting quest chain, then look for a guild. Learning the travel conveniences such as the memory stone early saves a lot of walking. If you get stuck, FAQ and the Discord question channel are there.
